Zebulun Custom Finishes'
Feature Car of the Month
Heated 502
Eddie Pierce of Solsberry, IN is the owner of this 1955 Chevy T-3100 known as Heated 502. Mr. Pierce has owned this truck since July of 2008. There was no slow restoration on this truck. Ready to get this Chevy to the shows, Eddie brought it to Zebulun Custom Finishes. Alreadty equipped with a brand new 502 Chevy big block crate engine, from Apple Chevrolet in Pennsylvania, and a 700 R4 tranny, from Steve's Automotive in Elletsville, IN, it was ready for the body work, fabrication and hot new paintjob.
Wanting more than just your normal restoration, you didn't hear any argument from us. Because at Zebulun Custom Finishses custom is our middle name. To start out this custom concoction we start with shaving the door handles, cal, dash and firewall. Add is some sporty looking mirrors and a smoothing out of the stepside. Then top it off with custom made inner fenders, roll pan, breather cover and an awesome bowtie to finishes up under the hood. After all this and alot of hours is body work, it's off to the paint shop. Again, it's not just any paint job, it's our specialty....Flames!
After igniting under the hood, Eddie had to remind Byrl not to torch
the outside as well. Once you get Byrl started, it's hard not to make it an inferno. Not this time though. With some subtle flames down the sides of a beautiful black base, the masterpiece is almost done.
With the clearing and buffing done, it's off to the interior shop. Ed of Interiors by Ed in Mitchell, IN installed these gorgeous orange and black leather seat and an awe inspiring head and door liners. Back home, Eddie adds the finishing touches of a new steering wheel, tail-lights, and a GPS radio with I-pod telephone.
Just like having any new baby, you have to have the best quality
pictures. And who better to do them then Michael Wheatley of Camera Arts Studio of Evansville, IN. These pictures show the true quality of this truck.
By Sptember 2009, this bad boys ready for the shows. Talk about excitement to bring home the McQuire's Magnificent Masterpiece award and the NAPA Trick Truck award from the Goodguys show in Bowlinggreen, KY. But why stop there Eddie goes on to win people choice in Smithville, In and Best of Show in Pali Picks, IN.
